Deadshaw Sick

He may remind you of stone figures on tombs and is a reference to all the people who have stood here before you as well as to your own future.

The words on the plinth, part of a longer poem, have mis-spellings and an uneven typography. This is to make the words themselves something of an enigma, the words are a puzzle that has to be ‘solved’ to be understood. It is also to echo the rough lettering on many of the original guidestoops where words are mis-spelled and words chopped in half to make them fit into the long narrow format.

With these thoughts in your head, you are then left alone to try to find the true guidestoop.
